About Me

Hello! I live in Highlands Ranch with my husband, Robert, and we have three amazing daughters. Two are in college, and our baby is a senior in high school.

When my oldest was about six months old, I vowed to myself that I would make sure every pregnant woman I encountered knew what I didn’t know, which was exactly how hard those first few weeks with a new baby can be. I start with, “It’s totally okay if you cry every day,” followed by, “Sleep deprivation truly is a form of torture,” and finally, “Don’t worry, it will get easier.”

No one warned me about the emotions I would go through, the feelings of desperation, “I’ve done everything, why is she still crying?”… The fear, “Is this normal?”… The resentment. “I can’t keep going like this; I need to sleep, too.”

I put on a smile for guests, then about two weeks postpartum, a friend (already a mother of two) asked how I was doing. When I said I was fine, she said, “No. How are you REALLY doing?”  I started bawling and shared my feelings for the first time. She laughed (with me) and assured me that everything I was going through was completely normal, that my baby was okay, and that  I really was a good mom.

I worked as a Special Agent with the FBI for 25+ years, and retired in 2022. Now I am so excited to help other families through one of the most difficult and most precious times in our lives!
